Fly for ID

Sussex, UK, 7 May 06

Happy New 'Year' everyone...

Whilst hunting for damselfly activity (1 large red only) saw this strange but rather beautiful little fly which I'm hoping somebody will be able to identify

Many Thanks - Tom

I think it's a caddis fly of some sort.

I was caught out by this one again this year and thought it was a caddis at first. I hope its finally sunk in. Its not a Caddis, its an Alder Fly Sialis lutaria.
