Flower ID help please

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea what this could be ?

I've had a quick look through a book but i cant seem to find anything like it really (but i dont have a decent book yet)

It's a cultivated form of Aquilegia,also Known as Columbine or Grannys' bonnets.

Absolute right frecklezgecko. It is a common garden plant and an easy escapee. The bees love it.

Thanks guys,

It was on an old trackside that leads to an abandoned allotment garden,so i suspected it could be more of a garden flower.
