Minke whale

Auk Alpha oil platform,central North Sea today was visited by a adult Minke Whale,first class views,the whale was on the surface directly below the platform for a good five minutes.Pat

Dont want to brag but we have had a Minkie here for 2 weeks, it will come within 150m of the Harbour. Its fantastic. Also in the area are Harbour porpoise, Rissos Dolphin, White Beraked dolphin and last but certainly not least Orca.

I hope you get to see more cetaceans from the platform. They are great.

We get plenty of cetaceans offshore,mostly minke's but over the years you get to see most of the others that frequent the North Sea.If only I could spend more time watching and less time working.Pat
