Could someone put me out of my misery and point me in the direction of SEO's. Have travelled a bit around my area but none showing.
Many thanks

A bit out of your district, but up to 4 have been seen recently at Tophill Low on dry, wind-free afternoons

Aye, make sure you lock the doors otherwise people can break in.

Good tip for the future mate,

Sands Lane itself is a bit narrow and there's a golf club and old folks home at the top so there's plenty going past all the time. The layby is now the entrance to the fisheries so that's not an option. The RBG has been on the right hand (smaller) pond but that is also being developed for fishing with platforms in position and a rough road around it. Your best bet could be the pub car park (The Ship) as it might not be too busy, from there you can walk over a bit of rough land to the weir, or along the road to the ponds. Mandarin on the river at the moment, kingfisher there also. Snow Bunting at Deer Hill Res or Soil Hill.

Happy Birthday to me......

My first birthday on bird forum so my hopes were high, but sadly a very low activity day! Started at the LDV North Duff Carrs not much to report 4-6 Mutes, a distant Buzzard 6-10 Wigeon and the local Kestrel were about it.Then about 300+ Teal arrived on the river (as there is still no water on the carrs) Stayed till the very last light Christmas shopping seemed like a tempting option to this! (only joking the cold air must be getting to me) Then with 10 minutes of daylight left not one but possibly 4 Barn Owls the best of which put on a superb display of catch, kill and eat a vole no more than 30yds in front of the hide, they say patience is a virtue..it certainly was today.

Caught up with this single Waxwing yesterday at Hatfield, on the A614. Apparently still there today. My first this winter.
