Is there 2w Glauc and 2w Iceland off the jetties or is it one bird involved and being incorrectly reported?

Hi Steve
no ,I haven't stocked feeders this year.Birds are fewer and flightier, and i can't say i've seen anything other than lesser poll or siskin.Marsh tits still about though.I've left the feeders in same bush, tempted to fill em now this hard weather has arrived, but Redhouse is VERY quiet at moment birdwise. If it changes,i'll let u know!! |

A series of pictures illustrating yesterday's rarely seen Bullfinch courtship dance has now been added to the blog: http://www.eybirdwatching.blogspot.c...hip-dance.html
The files are too big for me to add here

Decorating taking priority over getting out and about, still hoping to catch up with some swans tomorrow, thanks all who have posted info.
I did see the ring billed gull at mirfield today. I think it was my 6th attempt! |

Hornsea Mere
Had a nice (but very cold) morning at Hornsea mere today.
The Iceland gull showed very well around noon after being quite distant sat on ice for most of the morning. Also flock of bean geese over. I had gone before the probable ring billed gull was reported. More shots on the blog. |

My missus took great delight in informing me mid morning of the large numbers of redwing in the oak tree in our garden. As I was at work at the time I was less than amused.
