Saw this little guy arguing with an Anahingus over who could stand on this big long. He made lots of niose, but left after the bigger bird started moving towards him.

Rageboy,
All very nice images. What a difference a bird's pose can make huh?

Hi Dave,
It is still not easy for me to identify birds when they are in the same pose as the guides I have. But when they throw me a curve ball like this one did it is a real problem. I was trying out a new lens and got this image of the same bird (there is only one at the pond and he has been there for a couple of days). It does not have real good IQ, but I love the pose. http://www.pbase.com/tommy2guns/image/62293534/original |

The funniest heron pic I've ever seen. A great photo. Congratulations

With the green heron in north america, there really is nothing else with that combination of colours. Scott p.s. Love the crazy pose in the last photo. |
