Finches (?), Crap Sogn Gion, Swiss Alps

Nothing exotic but - I am confused.

[1] and [2] - I thought male chaffinch but it's a big one, for me just too big. It's sitting on the ski-lift cables. Juvenile fat chaffinch? Was singing a finch-type song, in fact there were two on this cable, more or less identical.

[3] Here's where my colour sight's a nuisance - looks like a snow finch (a bit) but it's way to low - circa 1,600m - below the water pipit level. Could sing - oh boy could it sing! Must be a water pipit.

[4] Another juvenile chaffinch, or at least the same as [1] and [2] above?

[5] Female greenfinch?

Now for a shower - just got up.

1 to 4 - were all taken in roughly the same area - above the tree line, circa 1,700m. The pictures in the birds database confirm 1+2 as Linnet (at least from the front), 3 and 4 I am not sure due to lack of experience.

5 - was thinking this myself while drinking my morning coffee.

Thanks - now a happy camper. Will go up again in a few hours - am chasing some spotted nutcrackers (Nucifraga Caryocatactes) which I caught two weeks ago but I want better photos.

May also grab a falcon or two...
