Question Blue Jays

Can anyone give some advice on things I can do to attract Blue Jays to my yard? Any help will be very much appreciated.
Bob

I happen to have quite a few. They enjoy suet (mine love Naturally Nuts No-Melt from Wild Birds Unlimited) and sunflower seeds. I've heard they also like peanuts, but I don't feed peanuts myself, so I can't vouch for that.

I have more this year than I have ever seen before and I gather that they were nesting close by as I've had quite a few juvies. Like Liz, mine are the suets best customer.

They love peanuts with the shells still on.-you're supposed to get the unroasted kind from a birdffod supply place. Once the're in the yard they eat all sorts of stuff. I've got one of those peanut feeders for shelled peanuts.-Blue Jays, Tufted titmouse, and woodpeckers are among the birds that use them.

Agreed Larry, I have a mesh peanut(cheap one from Lowes) feeder and it attracts Blue Jays, Red Bellies, Downies, House finches and just in the last few days a Carolina Wren has been visiting a few times a day.

My oaks this year shed massive amounts of acorns, and the BJ's seem to love those. They also like my suet feeder. Cheers.

Peanuts-in-the-shell are definitely the way to go. Jays love them, preferring them to just about anything else.
