Winter arrivals

The winter birds are now arriving in San Diego. So far I have noticed the winter gulls are arriving. The link below shows a picture of gulls feeding on Flamingo "chow" at SeaWorld. The Glaucous-Winged Gull in the center has been returning to our Flamingo pond for the past 15 winters! The two Western Gulls long calling at upper left chased the GWG and the four other Westerns around him shortly after I took this picture.

I'm waiting on the winter ducks, some like the pintails are now here. In a few weeks I should hopefully get some good pics of Lesser Scaups and hopefully I'll get to post in the rarity forum this winter.
