White Rose-Bays
Growing alongside the River Yare above Cringleford. Many plants growing alongside normal pink ones.
Not true albinos - observe the slight pink tint inside the trumpet - but I have never seen this variation before. |

Hi Mike,
That's Great Willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum) you've got there, not Rosebay (E. angustifolium) Same white-instead-of-pink applies, though. A good find! Michael

Hi Michael,
Thanks for putting me right, I must admit I have been wrong for years, just content to call all the large Willowherbs 'Rose-Bay'. Interesting nevertheless. |
