White Rose-Bays

Growing alongside the River Yare above Cringleford. Many plants growing alongside normal pink ones.
Not true albinos - observe the slight pink tint inside the trumpet - but I have never seen this variation before.

Hi Mike,

That's Great Willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum) you've got there, not Rosebay (E. angustifolium)

Same white-instead-of-pink applies, though. A good find!

Michael

Hi Michael,
Thanks for putting me right, I must admit I have been wrong for years, just content to call all the large Willowherbs 'Rose-Bay'.
Interesting nevertheless.
