Are these the bargain of the century?
Can a pair of bins for less than £16 be anything less than junk?
I've just bought a pair of Eyetx 8 x 40's from 7dayshop.com (based in the Channel Isles) and I must say that I'm very impressed with them and to my inexperienced eye there's really not much difference between them and father's £150 Opticrons. BAK4 prisms, coated optics (they say) rubber coating, modern styling, all for pocket money. Be very interested to hear if any one has tried them. |

Whatever they are, that is way, way below any possible production cost. My chief fear with something like this is either that they're stolen, or else that they're being sold off cheap from a defective batch, which might have say, loose prisms inside which will lose their alignment after a couple of days' use. Caveat emptor!

With todays prices I would tend to agree with Michael but I bought a pair of Dixons own brand 8X40s about 12 years ago for £10-15 ... and I'm still using them. In fact, Jan gets a bit worried when I start looking at new ones coz the twice we have bought me some new ones, I've not got on with them and gone back to the old pair ... opps

i use 7dayshop.com and have always been satisfied with the service and quality of their products. being based in the channel isles, they are exempt from various taxes so can offer such prices. billy
