My maggie

Our magpies are very tame and if I leave the door ajar for even a minute they stride inside. I usually feed them on my kitchen windowledge. They have young who are just about ready to fledge. I love their song.

Tawny, try editing your post and removing the curved brackets, they shouldn't be needed.

Sorry, it's beyond me Tawny, the link itself goes somewhere but it looks like access is forbidden by your server. I'm only guessig though.
Try contacting Steve as he should be able to assist in getting to the bottom of the problem.

Hello Tawny, I think your problem is you should be using the attachment box to put the picture into the email (not the IMG button). The problem I had was. when you review the mail the attachment does not appear, however, if you write the text and then just browse via the attachment box (scroll down the screen a bit), then open the file you want to send, you will see the windows path to your local directory in the attachment window (the greyed out box), don't worry about that, just send the mail and the attachment appears when the email displayed in the forum gallery.Good luck and I hope this helps.

Maggies

The Australian Magpie is a protected species. At breeding time they are quite aggressive and dive bomb kids riding bikes, the postman is a popular target in fact almost anyone who passes by the tree where they are nesting. They sing the most beautiful song.
The pair come to my window ledge to be fed, peep through the window at me watch my every move and then know that once I open the window their meal is ready. They eat raw steak and love cubed cheese. They have had two young and haven't yet brought them to us.
If you leave the front door ajar and turn your back for a few minutes they come inside.

Now if I could just train the Blue Tits and Robins to do that

You are very fortunate Carolyn to have such sociable birds - even if the postman doesn't agree

im glad you persisted with the photo. That is really interesting. Do they know to go out or the door or have trouble going at the windows?

Thank you everyone for being so patient and also for your comments.
No Sarah not too much trouble. I usually just talk to them calmly and walk over and open the front door wide. When they come in through the door they walk in or rather (stride) they dont fly. Sometimes they go out walking and sometimes fly.
