Common Birds Looking Good!

Been out today. Seen all the common birds but aren't they superb? Nuthatch, Treecreepers loads of tits. Spent ages watching Great and Coal Tits chasing about, Long tailed, blue tit and lots of Wrens. Song thrushes singing, Blackbirds singing, Dunnocks singing, Mistle thrush buzzing, Jay, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Robin singing, Chaffinch calling, Black hd gulls with black heads, Great crested Grebe showing off. It's good to be alive!

You nodoubt noticed how much more colourful and ''shiny'' they're all looking
this time of year, the garden blue tits and great tits especialy looking quite strident in their breeding plumages!

Summer's coming

Nice post ghostrider, we do take the common ones too much for granted. And they do look splendid now Matt, so fresh and bright in their breeding finery! All of them, got a pair of goldfinch returned to my garden looking luminous, wonder if they're the same pair that nested in my apple tree last year.

Just watching my feeders now, Chaffinch, Goldfinches, Blue Tits, Blackbird, Starlings and a Greenfinch, all looking fantastic. The Doves are a bit of a pain, but you're right, it's a great time of year for the 'common' birds.
