hi i'm new to this so be gentle, please

hi my name is Carl, i'm from England near Norfolk, been taking pictures for many years but now would like to make it a job if i could, i've only just got back into it again after giving it up, not done much in the way of bird photos so this is top of my list, macro is great fun, where i live is a pain its called the Fens its very flat, it has all man made fivers with no trees, i have to travel about 33 miles to my nearest Forest, the bird life here is very poor i have seen so many trees taken down that i guess in another 20 years there wont be any left, there is also been a big drop in common birds, theres no where for them to nest, if there is any 1 near me and is intrested to chat please do so, i'll hope to start putting some pictures on soon, a bit at the moment,

all the best, Carl

hi nice to here from some 1

hi well my user name just poped in the old gray matter, this does look a very good site, i hope to get some good tips and hope to give the odd 1 out, for me with photos it has to be lightning, most people think i'm nuts as i go to storms, we don't get many here i would say about 3-4 very good ones a year, but i still think trying to take birds and butterflys is harder, its took me 4 long years to get a brinestone butterfly, i had to use a iso of 400 at F11, hand held macro, i'm very happy with the out, would of liked 100 iso for less grain, i have a canon 300D its a bit old now but i'm looking at a 30d to go with it, just last night i orded a bird hide, i would realy like to make it a second income, this week i'll be after adders as there are some not too far from me, better be off now, i'll try and put some pictures on but i'm very sort of birds, i see others have put insects on, i have got some nice shots of common lizards, would like to know what others think of them, regards carl
