I think we all know about the global warming season in which grizzlies are invading polar bear territory and moving further north. As a result it seems the grizzlies more often than not force the polar bear away from their food.
However, i wonder if the polar bear sometimes at least makes an attempt to defend its food which I am still unable to find.
The only info I have read about polar bears defending their carcase is this:

Regarding interactions between the bears, Scott Schliebe reported that some large male polar bears have been observed to ignore grizzlies when hungry rather than relinquish carcasses. The grizzlies don't seem too keen on pressing the matter when their bluff does not work.
