Common Sandpiper?
Hi folks,
Out at Martin Mere (Burscough Lancashire UK) today and saw this lone wader. Looking through my books it looks like a Common Sandpiper but I'm not sure.Any suggestions? I'm hopeless at waders. It was with a lone Ruff. Regards....AJ

It is a common sandpiper, look at where the wing meets the breast, there is a white notch, also these birds bob their rear ends up and down all the time.
