Project Andean Condor
Angelo D´Arrigo Cusco- Perú

Italian Condors (Vultur gryohus) are flying over Sacsayhuaman Cusco- Peru
This dream was planned by remembered and enigmatic Angelo Darrigo of Italian nationality. the one who was in life a passionate defender of the nature. Being the precursor project with the idea to start increasing the quantity of birds of Andean Condor at Peru in coordination of Miguel Ayala Calderon. It was Angelo who dealt with the reproduction and handle of condors Maya and Inca at Italy until the beginnings of his flights with paragliders Then the import of these is executed by the Dra. Laura Mancuso, coordinated with the Ing. Miguel Ayala Calderon and his team of filming. Was performed a flight of Paragliders and the condors with a recording team of the National Geographic Channel at Huamantiana Cusco, Peru. The video was showed up at University of Catania Italy and at Discovery Channel at 26 of march 2007 called: NATI PER VOLARE. We work from August 27, 2006 until the date, proposing:
· To educate the population in general, showing flights of Inca And Maya in Sacsayhuaman, his phase of learning went from the food conditioning of these to the consumption of Andean death food (corpses of animal death) , learning of the free flight, relation in the flights with his natural competitors of territory as American Kestrel (Falco sparverius) , Peregrin falcon (falco peregrinus)
· To future we suggest the baby of condors in captivity, since there was executed by the reproduction of Maya and Inca in Vienna Austria, like an alternative piece of news of recovering the species for his future reintegration to his natural ambience and articulating it to the economic activities, with a very important potential not only for the rural communities but for the tourism; This has sustenance in the works realized by the American scientist Noel Snayder who was employed at the recovery of the Californian Condor and of his friend Mike Wallace who was employed with Andean condors at the desert of Sechura, department of Piura - Peru in the year 1948, both scientists with big success, although they were saying, "That the politics and the bureaucracy kill the investigation ".
·We realize a census target of these in his natural ambience in the department of the Cusco and at national level, for his sustainable protection. The condor is in the category of in danger of extinction, according to D.S.Nª 034-2004-AG not alone by the destruction of his habitat, which is an important factor, but for the forced hunting for the condors, which the rural settlers realize, product of the alteration of his ecosystem they poison and kill many condors. The Condor fulfills an important function in the balance of the ecosystem, since they realize the function of cleanliness of organic garbage in decomposition (corpses of animal death), which of not being eliminated would turn into perfect broths of cultures for thousands of pathogenic agents, which would unleash endemic illnesses putting in risk the health of the population.

We do the sostento of this project across his direct collaboration, we does not have any kind of finnancial support only by my self person
