I believe a pair bred on "Royal Deeside" last year.

I'm looking forward to seeing them fighting with the gulls for scraps in Union Street.

Hmmm. A bit unfair dropping more Kites into the warzone, perhaps?.
The Black Isle ones aren't going anywhere fast due to persecution of dispersing birds, it seems. Maybe it would be sensible to tackle the underlying issues before introducing more?.

Another release sight seems like a good idea to me particulary as its a matter of a cheap boat ride away.

I think that was a mistake/misquote in a national rag and posted on ABZ - I don't think breeding was actually confirmed. There were two birds in the Balmoral area over the winter 05/06, seen many times together including by myself, but I believe one 'dispersed'.
Great news about the proposal though. Linz |
