monocular as telephoto?

I wonder if anyone has any experience of connecting one of the Opticron BGA monoculars to a digicam? Judging by the price and spec they should be well made and they do come with a thread (what size?) so in theory it ought to work....

I have just tried it with my Sony N-1 and the lens on the sony fits perfectly into the eyepiece, holding it firm. Pictures are ok, but the BGA doesn't come with a tripod mount, so the results could suffer from shake.

I have one of These and have tried to digibin with it. I guess it would work with a monocular and at less than £30 a bargain..
