Sparrow? Juvie? Bolsa Chica, CA

Prolific weekend with 4 life listers and some great activity at Bolsa. However, this one has me stumped. I thought one of the sparrow but maybe something similar. Was looking for something with that semi-eyering, and white underparts but not having any luck figuring it out. It may be because it's been a long day! Any help appreciated.

Matt

It's a Belding's Savannah Sparrow, which are abundant at Bolsa Chica. Note the extreme dark coloration overall and the yellowish superloral.

Thanks, all. I wanted so much for it to be a Savannah as it's a lifer but I thought it was wishful thinking!

BTW, is it a juvenile?
