Passerine calls

Hi
Can anyone give me any information or website links, to where I can find sound recordings of Passerines like flyover Buntings and Pipits or Warblers in Bushes etc

I am only interested in birds you get in Britain...

thanks
Zac Hinchcliffe

I use Rspb quite a lot for the calls of the commoner calls and I am quite confident with most, but thanks anyway!

thanks Bob. I will use this a lot, as the birds I am looking for are the rarer british Birds (e.g. Richard's Pipit, Greenish Warbler, Yellow Browed Warbler etc)

I am new to Bird Forum, and at the rate of help I am getting at the moment. i am sure I will become a pretty decent birder!

thanks

Oh Yeh

I'm glad you like my blog. The species aren't great at the moment, mainly because I don't see many due to poor weather conditions, and having to persuade my parents to take me on twitches due to not being old enough to drive lol

At 245 species I would say you are doing better than a lot of us out there!!

Thanks very much Bob
I manage to get my fare share done, with a few decent birds over the past few years (only been serious sinse mid 2004)

Highlights
White Tailed Plover, American Robin, Pec Sand, Lesser Scaup, Common Rosefinch(self-found) Black Winged Stilt(MMWWT 3) Laughing Gull, among others.

I have seen some good birds but I still need some pretty common stuff.

thanks

Zac

Hi Zac

Try the Dutch Birding website http://www.dutchbirding.nl/ as they have lots of useful info on calls. Some good comparisons of smilar species as well.
They produce a CD available through their shop as part of a subscription thats got loads of flight calls on it called "Out of the blue". Well worth listening to.
You'll also need to get the CD of Eastern Vagrants by Hannu Jannes, and then there is the huge box set from Germany called "Die Vogelstimmen" that you can find at http://www.amazon.de/Vogelstimmen-No.../dp/3935329490 or through the usual birding shops.

Don't forget about the new book called The Sound Approach by Mark Constantine, Magnus Robb et al. Their website is at http://www.soundapproach.co.uk/intro.PHP

Enjoy!!
