OK, I’ve tried to make the theme a bit more difficult, so 2 virtual points for guessing the theme… and one for each bird, of course!

Now I have a real dilemma. Do I do the anagrams or the GGBC results
- work coming a poor third!

2 to go!
There's a better theme than that (IMHO). Let me know if you need any clues! |

Maybe... but you're warmer than you think!
Just number 2 left, I believe... don't know whether it will give the theme away or not! |

I'm not having any luck with the bird names, but could the theme be birds with silent letters in their names, for instance the 'c' in 'scissor'?
I might just be stabbing at thin air, but quite a few of them have silent letters (maybe all). Michael |

Nope!
Ken's last guess was in the region, but try to be a bit creative where it looks like the obvious connection doesn't work. |

Number 2 Carpentarian Grasswren
I'll leave the easy bit (the theme ) to others!

Aha! The theme is things with a blade: scissors, grass, razor, sword, roller, fan, scythe, runner, shoulder, scimitar!
If this isn't it, at least it's a good possibility! (IMHO -- I think I figured this one out, too! )

That's all the birds solved...
So can you see anything that could be a theme? |
