Tanqua Karoo
I am planning to visit the Tanqua Karoo in mid November, looking for the Karoo specialties, I have the SA bidfinder with some info but I just wondered if there is any up to date news that I should know about this area?

Hi Lorne,
I haven't got any info for you myself but if you haven't already discovered the birdlife South Africa site you should give it a browse as they have some good info on whats happening around SA |

Lorne
We had a great day there in mid-October guided by local professional guide Brian Vanderwaldt. The SASOL Birdfinder book lists a number of useful locations and you could certainly base an enjoyable day around the route in there but I suspect that we saw much more with Brian than we would have done without him. If it's not too late, try www.brians-birding.co.za for more info.
