Voting Booth - October 2007 competition - Digiscoped Birds
Well I think digiscoping as a competition category is safe for another year at least. The standard of entries this month is exceptionally high, without doubt showing digiscoping off to it's best. It's a shame really to have to pick just one to vote upon - every one of them is a winner.
From the 53 entries this month 30 have been selected for inclusion in the Voting Booth. Please select your favourite entry for this months theme - Digiscoped Birds Entries can be viewed either as - 1. Thumbnails 2. Slideshow Entries will remain in place until completion of voting after which they will be moved to their appropriate forums.

But well done all the competitors. It just shows you don't need a DSLR! Unless you want a quick shot of a flying bird!, by quick, I meant anything under a minute!!!!!!! ![]()

Well, I usually associate digiscoping to greater magnification ... this time I have to appreciate sharpness, vivid colours and action ... not an easy choice now to be made .. good luck to all contestants, you're doing really good things

Definitely a tough choice this month. All the finalists are winners in my eyes. However, I since I did have to choose I bit the bullet and voted. Good luck to all.

A very high standard of entries this month making the choice of which to vote for very difficult. With the quality and number of entries so high I think this theme will likely be back again next year.
From the 53 entries 30 were selected for inclusion in the voting booth and 136 members cast their vote. First place - Digiscoper321 with Goldeneye Splash which attracted 20/136 votes. 2nd place - Roy Halpin with Vermilion Flycatcher with 18/136 votes. 3rd place - Neil with Long Tailed Shrike (Dusky ) calling with 15/136 votes. Congratulations to each of you Entries will remain in place a few days before being moved to their respective forums.

There were some really great photographs this month as always, and I don't want to detract from their obvious merits.
But I am a bit disappointed in this category which excludes many keen photographers - who just happen not to have digiscope facilities - especially as digiscoped pictures are always eligible in all the other categories. Alan
