Unknown duck (hopefully not yuck duck!)

I went to Inner marsh farm in Cheshire back in June and took lots of photos of Little egrets, only recently i noticed a duck in the background of a couple of the pictures but i don't know what it is, any ideas?
The pics are cropped and the first is the best of the bird, the second is to give a sence of scale compared to the egret.

Cheers
Gareth
