    Mourning Dove

    One last dove picture!
  4. Mourning Dove Drinking

    Mourning Dove Drinking

I try to keep water available year round near my feeders. There is a good sized lake about 100 metres from where this was taken but the birds still use the dish.
  5. Mourning Dove

    Mourning Dove

I find that the same species act differently in Florida to how they act here. Mourning Doves in Canada never go on my feeders, instead they scavenge on the ground below the feeders. Very different in Florida.
  6. Little Blue Heron

    Little Blue Heron

This is the shot that I intended to upload yesterday when I mistakenly uploaded the Green Heron for the second time.

    Double-crested Cormorants

There are always a lot of these birds sitting on the safety cable below Rodman Reservoir Dam.
  9. Eastern Bluebird in the Bath

    Eastern Bluebird in the Bath

More pictures from last winter in Florida. Once the Bluebirds found our place they stayed around for a few days.

  12. Eastern Phoebe

    Eastern Phoebe

Like all of the pictures that I am posting now, this was taken from our deck in Florida.
  13. Eastern Bluebird

    Eastern Bluebird

As excited as I was about the male Bluebird, when this female showed up a few minutes after the male I just couldn't believe my luck.
  14. Eastern Bluebird

    Eastern Bluebird

This picture and the next one were really exciting for me. I had never in my wildest dreams expected to get a male Eastern Bluebird in my garden in central Florida.

A Yellow-rumped Warbler in our lemon tree.

    Spa Time!

A Pine Warbler in its transition plumage bathes while a Yellow-rumped Warbler waits.
  17. Gopher Tortoise

    Gopher Tortoise

This Gopher Tortoise was making a break for his burrow. They move amazingly quickly when startled.
  18. Bath Time Too

    Bath Time Too

This Northern Parula looks quite indignant! Possibly doesn't like me invading her privacy.
  19. My Turn

    My Turn

The tiny Northern Parula looks as if she thinks that the Titmouse has hogged the bath for long enough. There is another raised bath a couple of feet away but many birds seem to prefer the lower location.
  20. Bath Time

    Bath Time

I have always felt that water was as important as seed for attracting birds. There is a lake less than 75 m. from our place but the birds still use the baths here.
  21. Eastern Phoebe

    Eastern Phoebe

This little guy visited our feeder station here in the forest. He wasn't feeding, just using it as arrest stop.
  22. Red-bellied Woodpecker

    Red-bellied Woodpecker

This male was working at the bottom of an oak tree.
