    Photographing displaying Capercaillie in daytime is a dream come true. Having the luck to see displaying on a tree is even bigger bonus. What a bird this is! Totally recommend this experience! Can't wait for the coming season!

    Today 18. Feb was cloudy but enought for photographering. Capercaillie was eating needles when I saw him. I took severals photos of him, before he flow away.

    At mating-time Capercaillie jump time to time. This is one of these jump.

    I was in tent hidden. It was mating-time of Capercaillie. I came there previous night and the birds came early morning. When there was enought light I was taken pictures.

    Last spring I was taken picture about Western Capercaillies and suddenly one of these jumped on top of horisontal tree. I shot few pictures about that position.

    I spend two nights in tent to wait, when these birds came at mating-time. It was very deep forest away from people.
