Didn't really fancy going too far today so just popped up to Nosterfield LNR near Ripon. Not too much to report but a bit of scanning produced Curlews, Ringed Plover, Snipe, 2 Common Sandpiper, 8 Little Egrets, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Peregrines, 10 Buzzards and a fligh over Osprey. Swallows, Sand Martins and a few Swifts moving through as well.
A short drive along the road to Nosterfield Quarry produced another Osprey that was very obliging and sitting in a dead tree for sometime though it did come down to bath in a shallow area. One of the local Magpies wasn't impressed with the Osprey. A quick walk around also produced a Little Owl and couple of Common Terns.

Cheers and Good Birding

Andy :)
