Can someone please confirm/identify these birds as Abyssinian Thrush? Taken in Ruhija, Achuya Forest Trail Uganda July.
Thanks
Chris

Well the blindingly obvious differences between these 2 must be evident from these ebird headline images:

[African thrush]
ML99377761 African Thrush Macaulay Library

[Abyssinian thrush]
ML34554731 Abyssinian Thrush (Abyssinian) Macaulay Library

...or did I mix the labels up?

Anyway, yours is a bit difficult because of the photos' colour cast. But nonetheless, I think African—a slightly paler, cooler grey mantle. Plus location [commoner in West]

Edit: I should have said this is based on the last 2 images. The first 2 look browner and more orange which might fit Abyssinian. However the colour cast is so strong I can't be sure it's not just lighting differences.
