Bearded Vultures are regular spring visitors to Portugal (1 Viewer)

In recent years several GPS-tagged Bearded Vultures released in Spain have been recorded in Portuguese territory. Most birds were not seen by anybody, however their movements were tracked. The first record was in 2011 (two birds), then from 2015 onwards the species was recorded every year (with up to 4 different cases in recent years).

The following chart was shows the total number of individuals recorded from 2011 until 2022 during that month. Interestingly enough, almost all records took place in spring, mainly in May.
