Calci or Mealworms (1 Viewer)

A friend of mine mentioned he feeds calci worms (Black Soldier Fly larvae) to the garden birds. So I bought a small bag and scattered some for the ground feeding species. The Starlings devour them, nothing new, then the Blackbirds and finally the resident Robin. Haven't noticed any House Sparrow interest yet as they prefer the premium fat balls or white millet.

Question is......anyone else feed the Calci worms on a regular basis ?
