Hi all

A long shot I know but does anyone know of any good forest areas within relatively short distance of Douala that I could visit for a weekend?

Also a site for Forbes's Plover would be good.

Cheers
Alan

I was in Douala a few years ago, you need to be mighty careful with your money and belongings, you may have to "dash" your way around. Helps if you speak French!
I would take a guide if I were you, the Jungle is very very thick you can be a couple of yards from a main Road and not know it's there.

I Couldn't wait to get out of the place, And I had an armed Guard !

Very Humid !

Thanks - I've been birding there before but have just a weekend this time on the back of a work trip. Yes - a very hot sweaty place, Douala was described on one website, rather unfairly, as "the armpit of africa"!

May go back to Kribe along the coast, some good secondary forest there.
