Chameleons in Spain (1 Viewer)

Strictly speaking, not a bird question but am going to Donana next week for some birding and thought I’d try to see the chameleons in the small park in Rota. However, there doesn’t seem to be any info on them in this location for quite a number of years. Does anybody know if this is still a good place to see them please?

I only know I dipped them in that garden, as the lady who monitors them wasn’t around and with 2 toddlers and a lot of wind on an overcast morning (not ideal), I couldn’t find one. But they are there, for sure.

I had a look on fieldherping.eu but couldn't find anything. A detailed trawl may reveal something but folk there will be reticent to share gen.

I feel I am something of a herp jinx but I do know they can be absolute sods to find. I've jammed into one, near Tarifa, once despite searching hard in supposedly good areas.
