Espanola, Ontario, Canada I got a blackbilled cuckoo on my Merlin App. Is it so? The banding marks on the front are throwing me off!!!! Thanks

Thrasher indeed. BB Cuckoos are rarely seen on the ground, and do not have the bright rusty plumage of this bird.

Rufous back , white belly with black lines , long tail , intense iris, blackish bill that fades at the start of the lower bill.
It is definitely a Brown Thrasher.
