Flock of gulls off Ardersier, Highland, October 2023 (1 Viewer)

Good morning all, I had a good two or three days walking, watching and photographing around Fort George over the 19th - 22nd of October getting three firsts for me on day one! I photographed this flock passing out towards the open sea on a cold and windy mid morning of the 19th. Looking at the photos they may be a mixed bunch, Black headed and ......? ID help much appreciated.

No Black-headed Gulls in here. These are all Kittiwakes. Nice pics of a migrating flock.

They’re all Kittiwake for me S, adults and 1st winters. Ah, Lou beat me too it!

Cracking, thank you both, the dark wing leading edges and head markings made me wonder that's four for the weekend then

Agree with Kittiwake (and my maternal grandfather came from Ardersier).
