Flying geese - Düsseldorf [Germany] (1 Viewer)

Hi,

today I took some photos of a group of geese flying across the Rhine. The Greater white-fronted geese are easy to id but what about the few other ones? I would rule out Greylag goose because of size (should be bigger than GWFG). So my guess would be bean geese. Do you agree?

Thanks
David

I’m in Kansas in the USA. We have lots of Canadian geese visit our farm lake. The last two years it has not been unusual to see 1or 2 snow geese in the group. I would think hybrid maybe if possible.
I saw a group of about 200 snow geese in a field about 3 miles from here which I feel is unusual for Kansas! The 2 snow geese that have visited this have been staying when the Canadian geese fly off. They seem to like our Peking ducks the most and will snuggle and sun right by them! I find this peculiar but interesting. 😊
