Girl in Cambodia has died from bird flu (1 Viewer)

11-year old girl in Cambodia has died from bird flu, the first known human infection in the country since 2014.

The WHO says the risk of human infection is low although there has been concern over the infection of other mammals recently.

First UK human case will either be a poultry factory worker or a dog-walker whose dog is let off the lead to run loose (most likely at a nature reserve or beach) and gets infected munching on an infected corpse while the oblivious owner wanders on paying no attention to what Fido is up to. Fido then passes it on to 'mummy' or 'daddy.....
