Hello.

Just a quick one to say how good the birding is in the waters off the canary islands.

I spent a week there in early September and me and the family headed out on a boat trip. Saw a couple of lifers straight off the bat, Cory's shearwater we're around in huge numbers and leaches petrel were the lifers - as well as flying fish but I don't think they count! I saw more species on the boat for a couple of hours than I did all week on land, well worth taking the bins if your going away from the land and want to integrate a bit of birding into a sun sea and sand break.
