Claudia Leigh Hubbard (DNF) was the wife of the senior describer, John Patrick Hubbard, and an avid devotee of kingfishers. She was Secretary of the New Mexico Ornithological Society in the 1970s. She and her husband co-wrote Birds of New Mexico's Park Lands (1979).

The Key to Scientific Names
Claudia Leigh Hubbard (fl. 1974) US ornithologist, wife of John P. Hubbard (subsp. Halcyon coromanda).

She may stilll alive as her husband b. 1935 according WorldCat. No idea about her her life date(s). As he pulished 2019...
