Hi there, I am a birdwatcher keen to visit a large area of wetland pretty much right opposite SHWEGU, a small village nestling a few kms downriver from Bhamo in Kachin State. Has anyone recently found themselves able to stay overnight in Shwegu as bird-commuting from Bhamo would be a pain and not really possible realistically for early-morning birdwatching. Any info, positive or negative would be great!. Thank you. BTW I am going to be there January 20th, 2015. Thanks again! Regards Richard.
