Hi Reemo and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I've moved your post to the Binoculars forum, as the guys there are better placed to be able to help you.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi and welcome.

There is a good binocular repairer in the Netherlands.
He can no doubt supply a prism.

Perhaps somebody here will know his name.

Prisms can be made to order, but it is probably a stock size or the repairer may have one.

Action Optics, Southampton, England may also have one.

The binocular will need recollimation.

Regards,
B.

okay great thx

Thanks FVG.

Kingsview Optical, Rye, South England make prisms etc. to order, but may need the original to copy.

There is a firm in Germany, maybe ex Zeiss Jena employees, that makes aspherics and other optics.

Sometimes the work is sent to China, as this maybe cheaper and quicker.

But the Netherlands repairer is the best bet as they list Swift.

B.

Hi,

first of all, welcome to BF!

Getting a new prism made to order will most probably not be cost effective unless you are prepared to pay a high 3 digit amount of euros for the repair.
If the repair shop happens to have a fitting prism (either because it's a standard size or because it specializes in Swift and have scrounged a few broken and much more common Audubon 8x44 with most probably the same prisms for parts), I would expect a lower 3 digit amount of euros.
Replacing the prism yourself is easy, if you have a fitting one (sources, see above) but since collimation is needed afterwards, it's not an easy job which needs specialized equipment and know-how to do properly.

Hi Reemo,

Wim de Boer, www.dekijkerspecialist.nl is the former repair man for Zeiss, Fujinon and Swift.
The best adress in Holland for repairs.
