Hello everyone,

I'm sebbo.

I gather that perhaps this site is intended more for people who enjoy the smaller birds that visit your garden or that you see up in the trees, however since everything went a bit silly last March I've been spending a lot of time walking to my local pools, ponds and lakes, and making friends with the ducks and, a little while later, the geese. Or gusses, as I like to call them for my own amusement. It's a new hobby I never really considered before lockdown, but it is one I have grown to greatly enjoy, and has been a great way to keep in good mental health and high spirits during these weird times. It is so relaxing, peaceful and something I can only now wish I had taken up years ago.

It's been such a pleasure to see little ducklings and goslings go from fluffy little yellow balls of cuteness, all the way to bigger birds all with their own little personalities. I have made so many feathery friends who come and eat from my hand, and there is even one goose who would stand by my side and pull gently on my shorts if I didn't feed him quickly enough!

Anyway, hope everyone is keeping safe and well, this seems like a very friendly place :)
