Hi,
I’ve decided, after living in the Highlands for 15 years, that I should try and slow down and appreciate what’s around me a bit more - and that it’ll be good medicine away from a stressful and demanding job. After a good few hours reading advice on here, I’ve ordered myself a pair of Nikon Monarch M5 8x42 binoculars, dusted off my thermos flask, and am looking forward to some peace and quiet in what is unquestionably one of the most beautiful places on earth.
I know we’ve had nesting Golden Eagles around here before, although I haven’t seen them for a few years. I’ve joined the SOC, but would welcome any advice on other good sources of info for bird and nature watching in Scotland.
Cheers,
Joe
