Mantis sp, southern Spain, 01.10.22 (1 Viewer)

I think this is a nymph of an Empusa species but I have only Brock's "Insects of Southern Europe & The Mediterranean" to go by. Any pointers gratefully received!

As a subsiduary question has anyone used / seen Mantids of the Euro-Mediterranean Area by Battiston et al and, if so, would it be a good book to buy to sort out mantis sp ID?

Thanks, Paul
