Nepal (1 Viewer)

Has anybody been to Nepal in the past few months. If so I would like some up-to-date 'gen'. Thanks.
I just came back from nepal and had few good birding days. I am a nepalese so my main purpose was to visit my family but I managed to find time in between for birding.
At the moment kathmandu area is really good for birding. Fulchowki hills and shivapuri hills are good places. One of the main reason for that is, kathmandu
is experiencing less of cold wave that the terai of nepal is experiencing. In kathmandu you can get clear skies from quite early in the morning.
You can have good birding experience in Royal chitwan national park and Koshi tappu wildlife reserve as well. But as I said they are experiencing very severe winter and visibility is a big issue. Evenings are fine though especially Royal Chitwan National park.
You can gain good advice from http://www.birdlifenepal.org/ as well.
