Backyard, shore, parkland birder. Got old, solvent, settled down, and replaced my faithful 1977 Nikon 7x21 (cycling/backpacking) with several sub-Alpha's (10x42, 8x42, 8x33, 10x33) and handy middlings. Just in time to read SFL reviews. Does anyone else toss lens caps and use shoelaces as neck straps for, say, light weight 8x32's, 6x30's?

Hi Steven and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

LOL Yes to the first, but I have a bouncy bungee neck strap. I think you want to find your way to our Binocular section for more discussions like this.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
