I managed to see and photograph a Red-throated Diver at Fairhaven Lake Lytham Lancashire 23/02/2015 and was a lifer for me. It was up at the North end of the lake near the Spitfire, I have posted a photo in the gallery.
Yes lovely footage I could hear those bitter february winds in the background it does,nt take long to get cosy in Doors and watch it on here.. otherwise on a fineday wrapped up well personally Its a wonderful Experience to Be hands on in what you do best.
Managed to catch up with Diver today it was asleep for the first hour or so but it did eventually wake up and came quite close in shore allowing for me to get a few shots.
Must be getting close to being in Summer plumage, I will have to hope it sticks around into next week as it would be a lifer for the wife and it would give me a chance at getting a few more shots.
