This bird raises questions about its ID.
It was seen today, and never called.

The photos have only been cropped, no other modification.

3 taken under sun, 3 in the shadow of the bush.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Hi. Reed for me too. Was thinking Savi's at first, but Savi's has brownish buff undertail coverts, Reeds, more cream coloured, and head on Savi's is small relative to it's size. Marsh's bill would be shorter, and forehead/crown, steeper less narrow than Reeds.

Hello,
I only comment to alert others of a possible rare bird. I haven't experience with this ssp, but with
It might well a be good fuscus Reed Warbler candidate???

I hope for more comments you know. Thanks!

Judging wing formula, the photographs depict a Common Reed Warbler: tracing a line from the start of the emargination on P3, it reaches between P8 and P9, that's typical of scirpaceus, with 1-2 more exposed primary tips than in Marsh.

Ciao, Igor Festari
