Sanderling or Little Stint? Tautra, Norway, Aug. 17 2021 (1 Viewer)

Hi again experts. The bright white belly and drumroll foot speed of this little wader had me leaping to the conclusion Sanderling out at Tautra two days ago. But then when I look at the shots I got, the bird seems otherwise too dark, even for a juvenile - at least as compared to the images in Collins. And then too the patterns on the bird's head almost look like the double "eyebrow" streaks shown for Little Stint, at least in some of the pics. Sizewise, the bird was a bit smaller than the nearby Common Plovers, so either on the small end of Sanderling or on the large end of Little Stint. All in all, I thought it best to check with more knowledgeable birders. I await your verdict. Many thanks in advance.aDSC_2311 (2).JPGaDSC_2313 (2).JPGaDSC_2314 (2).JPGaDSC_2315 (2).jpg
