Both seen roadside in farming land. Couldn't see the back of the swallow, but am leaning to red-rumped rather than striated based on the narrow streaks? Merlin app suggests female Siberian stonechat for the other, but it's a pretty blurry pic to analyse. Grateful for any help!

1. Yes, would concur very likely Red-rumped Swallow on account of the rather fine underpart streaking. However, note there is some overlap in strength of underpart streaking between well-marked RRS and poorly marked SS + individual variation in other features which can cause ID issues and lead to possible confusion. ID previously discussed here Is this swallow taken in Fukuoka, Japan, a Striated swallow?

2. Its a fem Amur Stonechat (aka Stejneger's Stonechat) which is the default taxon throughout the country and SE Asia as a whole. It was only recently split by Clements (eBird) to fall in line with IOC. https://ebird.org/species/stonec7?siteLanguage=en_GB#:~:text=A chunky little bird found,a white undertail and rump. Siberian Stonechat ssp. przewalskii (Tibetan Stonechat) is a resident at higher elevations in the mountains in the extreme NW.
